The Garden State Council is excited that many parents and leaders enjoy spending time at camp. We appreciate these volunteers and we encourage volunteer participation. Helping to provide a quality program and spending time with the Cub Scouts can be a very rewarding experience for anyone.
Following are some of the responsibilities that parent volunteers are asked to commit to:
The time commitment is typically 1 week of camp. This week is generally selected based on the week a specific pack is planning to attend camp.
Assists Camp Staff in administering program opportunities.
Assists Camp Staff in watching participants to ensure a friendly environment.
Participates in orientation to become familiar with camp practices.
Must be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America.

There is no fee for parents/leaders volunteering at Cub Scout Day Camp.
The Camp Director has the ultimate responsibility of all participants, volunteers, & staff. While every effort will be made to allow each volunteer serve in the capacity that they would like to, the Camp Director may assign volunteers to roles throughout camp based on the most need to help ensure a fun and safe environment for everyone attending.
