WHAT IS POW WOW?

Pow Wow is a one-day fun-filled, hands-on Cub Scout leader training extravaganza! It is a day of Blue and Gold, Pinewood Derby, Rain Gutter Regatta and Space Derby, songs, and magic. It is a day when Cub Scout leaders and parents learn from the best Cub Scout leaders in our Council. With over 30 show and do sessions to offer there is something for everyone. Pow Wow gives you the tools you need to make your den and pack meetings a success and make your Cubs want to return each week. Pow Wow is the event of the year to renew knowledge, learn current policies, and share experiences in Scouting. All Cub Scouting adults (leaders and parents) are invited and encouraged to attend. There will be something for everyone at this, the biggest Cub Scout training event of the year!

WHEN AND WHERE?

January 26, 2013 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Lakeside School located in Millville. A map can be found by clicking the address located at the bottom of this information.

HOW TO REGISTER (By January 22)

Register and pay on-line by selecting your classes and then following the prompts.  Class sessions are limited in size and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  Register early for best choices. To guarantee your class selection your registration MUST be received no later than January 22.  To assist with your on-line registration be sure to download "HOW TO ON-LINE REGISTER FOR POW WOW", which includes screen shots click the underlined title.

COST (By January 15)

The cost of the Pow Wow is $15.00 and includes your session handouts, continental breakfast, a 2013 Pow Wow patch, and a Scouting bag to carry it all home.   Some courses have an additional materials charge of $3.00.  (When registering you will initially see the participant's fee listed as $25.00. Registering by January 15, 2013 gives an "early bird" discount of $10.00; bringing the fee to $15.00.)  From January 15 to January 22 the cost will go to $25.00.  You will receive confirmation of all charges.

LATE REGISTRATION & WALK-INS  (After January 22)

Late and Walk-In registrations will be accepted; however you will be limited to what classes are available. Late registrations are $30.00 (This is shown as a $5.00 late fee) and you must bring your own lunch.

LUNCH

You can bring your own lunch or you may select a hoagie and a side salad when you register. Cost of lunch is 7.00.

PAYMENT

You may pay using check, money order or credit card. When you register on-line you may use Visa or MasterCard. 

MIDWAY

Invitations have been sent to organizations whose programs provide opportunities for your den and pack activities. During the day visit their displays to get information for activities about summer camp, product sales and other programs.

WEATHER CANCELLATION

If Pow Wow must be cancelled due to severe weather, you will be advised using a telephone broadcast system. Please be sure the phone number you provide is correct.
