Are You Using The New MyScouting Tools?

MyScouting Tools is a dynamic tool for all Scouting leadership and eventually Scouts to obtain and maintain their current information.

To access MyScouting Tools, a Scouter simply logs into MyScouting.org and clicks the link located on the landing page. A “toolkit” is equivalent to a BSA organization structure. For example, if you’re part of a unit, your unit will appear as a toolkit.

MyScouting Tools has two main levels of access: My Dashboard and Roster Manager. A unit leader or adult volunteer can access the My Dashboard tool, where announcements and calendar dates will appear. Under My Profile, leaders and volunteers now have the ability to update their contact information. This is a huge enhancement because updates to phone numbers, email addresses, and other contact information are immediate.


A second version of the new MyScouting Tools has been released for Key 3 unit and district volunteers on my.scouting.org. This release is an important step towards BSA's vision of volunteer empowerment.


The new tools provide more intuitive functionality and improved navigation. It's made easy and transparent so that volunteers can focus more on Scouting. To become familiar and learn more about the new tools, select a link below to download instructions.



o    Dashboard view of Trained Leaders and Youth Protection Training status and counts

o    Add adult training information – not just YPT, for members in their organization structure

o    View member’s training history and YPT status

o    Print training certificate(s)

o    Print Youth Protection Aging Report (lists those who have not taken YPT, those whose YPT expired and those that will expire in 30, 60, 90 days)


o    Assign members to functional roles in sub organizations

o    View unit roster details

o    Edit/update certain member profile information

o    Print membership cards for each registered position

o    Print Youth Member Age Report


o    Create sub organizations in their unit

o    Maintain unit’s organizational details (social media information)

o    Best experienced with Google Chrome 14+.

o    Firefox 21+ also supported.

Safari & Internet Explorer are not fully supported at this time.
