NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING (NYLT): This is an intensive week-long youth directed leadership training experience. The training is conducted by highly qualified youth staff under the supervision of adult advisers using the National Youth Leadership Training syllabus, as published by the National Council, Boy Scouts of America. Scouts will be modeling the concepts and skills that are the core content of the course. The focus of each session is not only knowledge but also giving the youth a "Toolbox of Leadership Skills" to prepare them for leadership roles within your troop, team or crew. Both male and female youth Venturing and Sea Scouts are encouraged to attend the course.
The Garden State Council is offering two courses this summer.
July 30 - August 5, 2017

August 6 - August 12, 2017
Pine Tree Education & Environmental Center (click on Pine Tree to register)
Registration is $260 per Scout: Register prior to July 1 you will earn a $25 "Be Prepared" incentive reducing the cost to $235 per Scout.
Requirements to attend NYLT:
Must be a youth member currently enrolled in a Troop, Crew or Ship
Be at least 13 years old by 7/14/17
Live by Scout Oath and Law
Have knowledge of basic outdoor skills
