The definition that can be found on www.scouting.org is: A professional Scouter who is responsible for the supervision of professionals in two or more districts. Serves as interim District Executive when a vacancy occurs. In the Garden State Council there are two Field Directors. The NJ State Police National Guard Camporee will take place this coming May 16th, 17th & 18th, 2014 at the National Guard Training Center in Sea Girt NJ. Registrations are due by March 31, 2014. All Camporee items will be pre-sold online to be delivered at the camporee. The Trading Post will have left over items only and will not be stocked as it has been during past camporees. Pre-ordering is necessary to receive the goods that you and your unit require.

The inaugural meeting of the Garden State Council Activities Committee will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014, 7:30PM at the Rowan Scout Center. The committee, consisting of District Activity Chairs and other interested Scouters who would like to help plan future Council Activities are asked to attend. We are looking for Scouters from all the divisions in the Scouting Program. Another interesting facet of this committee is that districts can discuss events in their districts and exchange ideas and help each other make events that keep Scouts interest in the program and retain membershi
