Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training March 27th, April 3rd & April 10th

This course is for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters and other Scout leaders who wish to learn about conducting the Boy Scout program and Troop administration.   The sessions are on the following Thursday nights: March 27th, April 3rd and April 10th.  Location is at the Rowan Resource Center, 693 Rancocas Rd, Westhampton, NJ 08060.

Learn key concepts from subject matter experts, visit an interactive exhibit hall that explores energy and nuclear issues, and tour a reactor control room simulator at the Salem & Hope Creek nuclear generating stations.

Over the course of the last year many Scouters, volunteers, and others have asked, "What is a Field Director?"  The definition that can be found on www.scouting.org is: A professional Scouter who is responsible for the supervision of professionals in two or more districts.  Serves as interim District Executive when a vacancy occurs.  In the Garden State Council there are two Field Directors.  Nathan Clark, who serves Mahalala, Quakesen, and White Horse Districts or what is referred to as the River Field Service Area. Then Gary Copeland who serves BaySea


2014 NJ State Police National Guard Camporee

The NJ State Police National Guard Camporee will take place this coming May 16th, 17th & 18th, 2014 at the National Guard Training Center in Sea Girt NJ. Registrations are due by March 31, 2014. All Camporee items will be pre-sold online to be delivered at the camporee. The Trading Post will have left over items only and will not be stocked as it has been during past camporees. Pre-ordering is necessary to receive the goods that you and your unit require.
