Huggard Named Gloucester County Distinguished Citizen for 2020

Garden State Council, BSA, is pleased to announce that Ernest D. Huggard, President and CEO of South Jersey Federal Credit Union, is our 2020 Distinguished Citizen for Gloucester County. Event Chairman Benjamin T. Griffith noted that Huggard has earned the respect and esteem of his colleagues throughout not only Gloucester County but South Jersey. Huggard further distinguishes himself by the civic leadership and service he has provided to his community over several decades. He retired from the New Jersey Army National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel, following 28 years of service. He also served for 17 years as the president of the Galloway Township Board of Education.

Typically celebrated at a banquet, the Gloucester County Distinguished Citizen will be honored this year at an online celebration on Wednesday, November 11. The online celebration will also feature a keynote address by Terry Fossum, Eagle Scout, author, and winner of the reality series Kicking and Screaming.

Participation Opportunities

To access the online celebration, start at the event registration. Individual access tickets are $50. Sponsorships include access for varying numbers of individuals, in lieu of seats at the traditional banquet tables. Also available through the registration site: Tribute ads for the digital program book. Tribute and sponsor ads are due to Council by November 2.
